Meeting Needs. Restoring Hope. Walking Together.
At Ministries of Grace, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. We believe in comprehensive support. Every family has its own story, its own challenges, and its own path forward. That’s why our Social Services Department is built on a simple but powerful idea: meet people where they are, then walk with them toward a life of stability and self-sufficiency.
We offer more than just handouts — we offer a holistic support system grounded in compassion, dignity, and practical help. Whether a family is navigating a temporary crisis or long-term hardship, we’re here to walk alongside them with purpose and care.

A Layered Approach to Support That Puts People First
We base our services on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs — because survival comes first. No one can think about job training or parenting classes if they’re hungry or sleeping in their car. So we start with the essentials: food, shelter, clothing. From there, we build trust, offer resources, and help each family craft a long-term path forward.
Everything we do is rooted in a solution-focused mindset. With customized Care Plans and ongoing support, we aim to move families from crisis to confidence.

Our Core Services: How We Serve Families
Food Assistance
No family should have to choose between groceries and rent. We provide:
- Pantry Services: Weekly access to fresh and shelf-stable groceries through our Meals By Grace pantry.
- Weekly Home Deliveries: A week’s worth of food delivered to households with transportation barriers.
- Bi-Monthly Deliveries: Ongoing food support for families facing chronic or long-term hardship.
We don’t just feed people — we nourish hope.
Economic Aid & Essential Resources
When families can’t afford basics like hygiene products or school supplies, it affects every part of life. Our Economic Aid program includes:
- Clothing and hygiene kits for adults and children
- Seasonal supplies (fans in summer, coats in winter, school supplies in fall)
- Gas cards and transportation assistance for work, school, or medical appointments
A little help can relieve a lot of stress — and open the door to new possibilities.

Mental Health & Psychoeducational Support
Emotional well-being plays a huge role in a family’s ability to move forward. That’s why we offer:
- In-home counseling and therapy for children and adults
- Parenting workshops and educational support for families with children facing behavioral or developmental challenges
- Referrals to trusted psychiatric providers for those needing medication management or deeper care
Our approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and designed to build resilience from the inside out.
Childcare and Family Support
For many families, the cost of childcare is a barrier to everything else — including employment. We provide:
- CAPS Application Help: We guide families through Georgia’s childcare subsidy application process.
- Referrals and Advocacy: We connect families with local childcare providers and write advocacy letters when needed.
- Mentorship Programs: We pair children with trusted mentors to help build confidence, stability, and emotional growth.
When parents can work and children are cared for, the entire household moves forward.
Emergency & Crisis Support
Sometimes life turns upside down overnight. A job is lost. A home is at risk. Food runs out. In these moments, families need immediate, compassionate help. We respond with:
- Emergency food assistance and grocery deliveries
- Shelter referrals and short-term housing connections
- Crisis counseling and referrals for additional aid
Our goal? Make sure no one faces an emergency alone.

The Care Plan System: Tailored Support for Every Family
We don’t just provide services — we create a plan. Every family that enters our system is placed into a Care Plan that matches their level of need:
- Level 1 (3–9 months): Short-term help for temporary crises
- Level 2 (9 months–2 years): Mid-term support for multiple, overlapping challenges
- Level 3 (2+ years): Long-term aid for chronic conditions, grandparents raising grandkids, and families facing systemic hardship
Families are assigned a letter (A–D) that tracks duration and urgency, helping our team coordinate services and measure progress. It’s structure with heart.
GAP Families: Filling the Space Where Assistance Runs Out
There’s a group of hardworking families who don’t qualify for government assistance but still can’t make ends meet. Teachers. Nurses. Single parents. People doing everything “right” — and still coming up short.
We call them GAP Families, and they matter deeply to us.

How You Can Get Involved With Our Comprehensive Support Plans
None of this is possible without people like you. Here are a few ways to get involved:
- Volunteer: Pack food boxes, deliver meals, mentor a child, or help with seasonal distributions.
- Donate: Every dollar fuels practical help for local families.
- Advocate: Spread the word. Help us reach more families — and rally more support.
