Inside the Grace Works Training Center

There are countless organizations doing good across the country—and we celebrate that. But here at Ministries of Grace, we believe there’s something truly special about a Christian charity that serves from the heart of the Gospel. It’s not just what we do that sets us apart—it’s why we do it.

Everything we do flows from our deep-rooted faith in Jesus Christ. Our desire to feed, teach, encourage, and uplift is fueled by the same love and compassion He modeled for us. That love doesn’t change based on seasons or circumstances. It’s steady, reliable, and real—just like the care we offer to the people in our community.

Let’s take a look at the values that shape our mission and define how Christian charities like Ministries of Grace serve differently.

1. A Gospel-Centered Motivation

We don’t do this work because it’s popular. We don’t do it because it’s easy. We do it because of the Gospel. Jesus said in Matthew 22:37–39, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart… and love your neighbor as yourself.” That’s not a suggestion—it’s a way of life.

For us, service is an overflow of the love we’ve received. 2 Corinthians 5:14 says, “For Christ’s love compels us…” and that word—compels—gets to the heart of our mission. We are moved by love. That love fills food boxes, powers job training sessions, and shows up in conversations full of grace and encouragement.

Every day is another opportunity to reflect Christ to the people around us. That’s not charity—it’s calling.

2. Seeing People Through the Lens of God’s Image

At Ministries of Grace, we see people differently. We believe every person is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), and that truth changes everything.

We don’t define someone by their struggle. We see who they were made to be. We see strength in single moms, wisdom in seniors, and perseverance in every parent doing their best. We look people in the eye and call them by name because they matter—to us and to God.

James 2:1 reminds us that we must not show favoritism. That’s why our team is committed to treating every person with respect, dignity, and love, no matter their story. We listen without judgment. We care without condition. We serve because people matter.

3. Wholistic Care that Acknowledges Spiritual Needs

We believe in caring for the whole person. Hunger is real. Joblessness is real. But so are loneliness, shame, and hopelessness. Ministries of Grace meets practical needs while also offering encouragement, prayer, and a reminder that no one is forgotten.

Jesus fed the hungry—but He also called Himself the Bread of Life (John 6:35). He healed bodies, but He also healed hearts. That balance matters to us. We offer job training and meals, yes—but also faith, friendship, and a community that says, “You belong here.”

Because the soul needs nourishment just as much as the stomach.

4. A Commitment to Long-Term Relationships

We’re not about quick fixes. Relationships take time, and so does transformation. That’s why we’re in this for the long haul. Just like Jesus walked closely with His disciples, we walk closely with the people we serve.

We remember names. We check in. We celebrate progress and sit with people in the hard moments, too. Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loves at all times…”—and that’s the kind of steady presence we aim to be.

True change happens when people feel seen, safe, and supported. That’s what we’re committed to.

5. Volunteers Who Serve from the Heart

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of this ministry. They come early. They stay late. They pray, laugh, lift, listen, and love—because they believe what Jesus said in Matthew 25:40: “Whatever you did for the least of these… you did for Me.”

Our team doesn’t serve for recognition. They serve because they’ve been changed by grace, and they want others to experience that same love. You’ll see it in the smiles. You’ll hear it in the conversations. You’ll feel it when you walk through the door.

These volunteers make every space more welcoming, more joyful, more sacred.

Why It Matters

Christian charities don’t just offer services. They offer hope. They don’t just feed people. They restore dignity. They don’t just equip—they walk alongside.

At Ministries of Grace, our mission is to reflect the love of Christ to the people of Forsyth County, Dawson County, and Cumming, GA. We don’t just want to meet needs—we want to change lives. And by God’s grace, we see that happening every single day.

Hebrews 10:24 reminds us to “spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” That’s exactly what we’re here to do.
