In 2024, something remarkable happened: more people than ever stepped up to serve. Ministries of Grace saw record-breaking volunteer involvement, and every delivery made, every Break Bag packed, every diaper distributed was made possible by the hands and hearts of those who gave their time.

A Record-Breaking Year for Volunteer Ministry Opportunities
From students and retirees to families and corporate teams, our volunteers showed up in force. In fact, Georgia’s Governor officially recognized our volunteers for logging the most volunteer hours of any organization in the state.
That milestone didn’t just happen. It came from thousands of hours spent:
- Delivering food to families in rural and suburban areas
- Assembling Break Bags for kids facing hunger over school breaks
- Organizing hygiene kits and household items
- Sorting donations at the pantry and warehouse
- Supporting events and community outreach
Behind every number is a name, a smile, a story of someone who chose to serve their neighbors.

Volunteers Who Became Family
At Ministries of Grace, volunteering isn’t just a task. It’s an invitation to community. People don’t just serve alongside each other—they bond, laugh, cry, and sometimes show up every week like clockwork.
One mom who began volunteering after receiving help told us, “I came because I was grateful. I stayed because I found a place where I belonged.”
We hear this sentiment over and over again. Volunteers step in to serve and end up finding something more: purpose, healing, and meaningful connection. Many build lifelong friendships. Some discover new confidence and leadership abilities. Others say it’s the highlight of their week.
This deep sense of belonging is what makes Ministries of Grace different. We’re not just a place to give back. We’re a place to grow, to heal, and to link arms with others who want to be part of something bigger.
That’s what our mission is all about.
The Next Generation Leads
In 2024, our Youth Leadership Board brought energy, vision, and hands-on help to every area of the mission. Thirteen high school students:
- Led donation drives
- Helped plan and serve at community events
- Participated in leadership development and strategic planning
Their passion and purpose reminded us that service isn’t reserved for adults. It’s something that grows when planted early.

What Your Gift Can Do
Our volunteers give their time. But they also need tools, supplies, and support to carry out their work.
- $30 covers a case of shelf-stable milk to include in food boxes that volunteers deliver
- $75 provides a heater and blanket for a cold family on a winter night
- $150 covers coats for a family, ensuring they stay warm while volunteers deliver necessities
- $500 stocks pantry shelves so volunteers never run short while packing and distributing food

Multiply Their Impact
When you become a monthly investor through The Bridge, you become the steady hand behind every delivery, every packed Break Bag, every warm coat handed out in winter. Your investment ensures volunteers never face empty shelves or unmet needs.
Monthly giving isn’t just convenient—it’s transformational. It allows us to equip our teams, respond to urgent needs, and expand our reach with confidence. When resources are ready and waiting, volunteers can focus on what they do best: changing lives through service.
