At Ministries of Grace, we believe transformation begins with leaders who bring compassion, credibility, and conviction to the table. That’s why we are thrilled to share that Dr. Indran B. Indrakrishnan, a former board member and longtime advocate for underserved families, was recently featured in a national article by MSN.
This powerful recognition highlights his legacy of advancing healthcare access, shaping public policy, and leading with integrity across the state of Georgia and beyond.
A History Rooted in Impact
More than a decade ago, Dr. Indrakrishnan served on the board of what was then Meals by Grace. During that time, he was appointed by Governor Nathan Deal to help identify and place specialty doctors in every Georgia county that lacked critical medical services. It was during this season of shared service that Ministries of Grace had the privilege of partnering with him on statewide health initiatives.
One particularly meaningful moment was captured during a visit to the Governor’s Office. Standing beside Dr. “I,” we saw firsthand what leadership rooted in compassion and credibility could accomplish. That image remains a symbol of our commitment to walk alongside those who bring lasting change to our communities.

MSN Highlights a Life of Service
The MSN article celebrates Dr. Indrakrishnan’s extraordinary efforts in the medical and nonprofit fields:
- He led the charge to make March Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in Georgia, with bipartisan support from two governors
- He served on the Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce, improving access to care for underserved communities
- He and colleagues were invited to ring the Nasdaq bell with Fight Colorectal Cancer in honor of their national advocacy
- He has been named one of the 25 Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia and received multiple commendations from the state legislature and governor’s office
His impact reaches well beyond clinical practice. From chairing medical associations to serving nonprofits like Rainbow Village and Meals by Grace, Dr. Indrakrishnan has helped elevate the standard of care, equity, and dignity for thousands of families.

A Legacy We Celebrate
Dr. Indrakrishnan’s influence helped lay the foundation for Meals by Grace’s early growth. What began as a focused response to food insecurity has since expanded into the full wholistic care model that defines Ministries of Grace today.
We now carry that legacy forward through a full suite of services, including:
- Weekly food delivery
- Licensed social work and mental health support
- Forklift Certification
- GED Preparedness
- Computer literacy training
- Interview preparation
- Resume writing support
- Financial literacy education
- Hygiene, clothing, and transportation assistance
- And more
We are proud to have been part of Dr. I’s journey and grateful for the ways his leadership continues to inspire ours.
Invest in the future of Georgia families to bring food, hope, and transformation to those in need.
