From Hunger to Hope: How Food Assistance Opens Doors to Independence

At Ministries of Grace, we believe community is at its best when it comes together, not just to share a meal or a drink, but to meet a need. And in June, we’re inviting you to do exactly that.

Every Monday night in June, from 4pm to 10pm, The Well (420 Vision Dr. Suite A101, Cumming, GA) will be hosting Charity Pint Nights to benefit Meals by Grace, one of our most life-changing programs.

Here’s how it works: For every pint of beer sold, $1 will be donated directly to Meals by Grace. It’s a simple idea with a huge impact. Your casual night out with friends could help a hungry child eat dinner or provide basic essentials to a struggling single parent. It’s local giving, made easy—and it makes a difference.

Every Pint Tells a Story

We meet families every day who are doing everything they can to stay afloat. Moms and dads who are working long hours but still can’t make ends meet. Grandparents who’ve stepped in to raise their grandchildren with limited resources. Children who go to school each day hoping their stomach won’t growl too loud in the quiet of the classroom.

One of the first places we meet these families is through Meals by Grace. That’s where their journey toward stability begins—with food. But from there, we walk alongside them through every step of their climb. We build wholistic care plans designed specifically for each family’s unique situation. Then we surround them with consistent support: job training, counseling, hygiene supplies, budgeting help, and transportation resources. Our goal isn’t to just meet a short-term need. It’s to see entire families move from crisis to thriving.

When you drink a pint during Charity Night, you’re not just supporting a good cause—you’re stepping into a story of transformation.

Why This Matters Now

Inflation and rising living costs have hit vulnerable families especially hard in Forsyth and Dawson counties. For many, the line between stable and struggling is razor-thin. A lost job. A medical bill. A broken-down car. That’s all it takes to shift a family into crisis.

But hope doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it looks like a grocery delivery, a warm smile from a case worker, or a local brewery opening its doors to give back.

Meals by Grace is fueled by the generosity of our community. It’s our local neighbors saying, “Not on our watch. No family should have to choose between rent and groceries.” That spirit is what drives Ministries of Grace. And it’s what makes events like Charity Pint Night so powerful.

How You Can Help

Here’s how you can turn your Monday into a mission:

  • Show up on a Monday night in June – We’ll be at The Well from 4pm to 10pm each week.
  • Bring friends, coworkers, or even your small group – It’s a low-key way to introduce others to the heart of Ministries of Grace.
  • Order a pint – For every one sold, $1 goes to feed and support local families.
  • Share it on social – Use your voice to help us reach more people. Every post helps spread the word.

It may feel like a small gesture, but your participation means a child eats dinner tonight. A parent gets a little breathing room. And a family takes one more step toward a stable future.

Let’s Turn Beer Into Breakthroughs

We love this community. We believe in its potential. And we believe that when good people get together for a good cause, incredible things happen.

So let’s raise a glass—to joy, to generosity, and to the quiet miracle of food on the table.

We’ll see you at The Well.
