When Stephen and Suellen Daniels lost everything in 2010, they didn’t know their pain would turn into their life’s greatest mission: to help hungry families move out of food insecurity and into a stable future.
Since 2011, the Daniels with an army of donors and volunteers have fed thousands of families in North Georgia. The Ministries of Grace mission has grown beyond providing food and now helps families gain financial literacy, job training, social services, and more.
The end goals are the same, though: to bring food, hope, and transformation.

This video highlights Meals by Grace, our food-insecurity program and the foundation of our mission. Now part of Ministries of Grace, we’ve expanded to offer job training, financial literacy, and other resources for lasting stability and hope.
Steve and Suellen Daniels experience financial struggle and food insecurity. They learn about the food insecurity epidemic in North Georgia, especially for families with children.
The Daniels partner with their local church and community to start delivering food to hungry families in the area.

Director of Social Services
“Papa always said, leave people better than you found them. A full belly and a little money in their pocket goes a long way.” As a child, Jaclyn fell in love with helping others. Through watching her grandfather feed the homeless under the bridge, to her own personal struggles, she knew the helping profession is where she wanted to be. Jaclyn gained her Masters in Social Work from UGA and is a die-hard Georgia fan. Jaclyn is high achieving, as she is a fully licensed clinical social worker, has a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, and is a Human Services Board Certified Pracintor. Jaclyn is a lifelong learner and is currently working towards another certificate in DBT to be able to help serve our families even better than she already does.
As the Director of Social Services, she loves teaching and leading her team of social workers. Helping to grow the next generation of social workers is a passion of hers. “I love my job. I love the families we serve, the people we help, and my team. I’m blessed to be here.”
Director of Graceworks Training & Education Center
Hi, I’m Jami, the Director of Graceworks. I’m passionate about this role because I love partnering with people to help them grow and reach their goals. It’s inspiring to watch others succeed and know I played a small part in their journey.
I’m originally from Pennsylvania, but I’ve grown up all over the world, which has given me a unique perspective and a love for connecting with others. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, lifting weights, studying the Bible, sewing, and playing the piano.
One of the highlights of my career has been building businesses, which has given me the experience to build and lead Graceworks.
Director of Strategic Initiatives
Carmen found a love for non profits while working with an organization that helped churches build facilities, fund mission initiatives, and retire their debt so they could focus more on their communities. As the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Carmen is charged with making sure the focus is kept on helping children and families walk their journey to self-sustainability while also moving the organization forward as a whole so that all families in the Forsyth and Dawson areas have a solid resource available for all their most pressing needs. A recent MBA graduate, Carmen brings a unique set of skills and gifts to the organization. She loves to add value to all those she meets, while keeping the mission as a priority. Her favorite quote is, “Bless others, and you will be blessed,” which she tries to live out each day.
